Eagle County real estate continues the increase over 2009
EagleCounty
real estate continues to rise at more than twice the sales volume of2009;
transactions are 79% above those in 2009.
Thesenumbers
are an impressive boost to real estate in the mountains compared to ayear ago.
When compared to 2008, our transactions are down just 18% and dollarvolume is
down 33%.
VailVillage had
the highest dollar volume by far in May with sales totaling nearly $42million
over 12 transactions. Six of those transactions sold for over $4million.
Thetotal sales
volume for Eagle County in transactions of $4 million or moreaccounted for $48
million in volume. These sales have helped boost our year-to-dateaverage
sales price to $1,155,314.
Year-to-date,Vail
Village and Beaver Creek are the areas that have experienced the highestsales
volume, both increasing by more than 55% over last year. Avon hasthe most
transactions thus far this year with 94 and it is nearly 4 times thevolume seen
in 2009. Avon’s volume and transactions are due largely in part asa result of
sales in Westin Riverfront.
